Meet Jennifer

The Witch Behind the Markets...

Jennifer Rapkins is the creative force behind Spooky Markets... a spirited blend of Halloween nostalgia, handmade magic, and small business love.

A lifelong horror fan, artist, and eclectic pagan witch, Jennifer brings her passion for community, ritual, and weird little treasures to life through immersive, themed events on Vancouver Island.

She’s also the owner of The Hermit’s Path, a metaphysical shoppe at Langford Station, rooted in intention, education, and accessible spirituality. When she’s not planning market layouts or crafting spell jars, you’ll find her behind the lens as a photographer, kicking it in karate class, or deep in creative flow - surrounded by incense, soundtrack music, and just the right amount of spooky ambiance.

I make crochet animals. Halloween is my favourite event and I love mythical creatures. I have a long background in sewing and designing clothing and have taken on crocheting as well. I love to create things from something as simple as a ball of yarn or a piece of fabric. I plan on making an animal zombie army for people to adopt!

Glimmer and Glow Gemstones was created by a bored hairstylist named Amy during one of the Covid-19 lock downs as a means to relieve stress and anxiety and keep her hands busy during an uncertain time in Ontario. She has since made an Etsy shop and an Instagram page as more and more of her friends, family and clients fell in love with her gemstone pieces. She loves to create new designs and colour ways with all kinds of gemstones. Her love of jewelery helped to inspire her mala meditation necklaces and bracelets and this year, she has been working on a new product: earrings!
